2022: Congratulations, We're Still Alive
Same new year's resolutions will result in the same outcomes
Here we are again. Another new year has come and gone.
Another round of new year’s resolutions already quavering.
Aren’t you tired of just making it to the new year?
Where were you a year ago? When you were just happy to start a new year and you had all these things in your head about the future.
But in the end, you end up right back where you started - Jan. 3, Jan. 4, etc. leading all the way to the same Dec. 31 you just came from.
Pledging in your heart to do all these different things when all you’re really doing is celebrating the fact that you didn’t die over the past 12 months.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want this year to be that all over again.
I don’t want to brave out another year just avoiding death so I can come back in January 2023 and celebrate it again.
I want this year to be special. I want it to be different.
And by “special” and “different”, I don’t necessarily mean pleasant, easy or fruitful.
I mean I want to invite cost.
Invite risk.
Invite the unorthodox. Things you haven’t done before, haven’t tried before.
Invite failure.
Invite physical, emotional, spiritual harm - as well as blessing.
That’s what I want this year. I don’t want to be here a year from now and say, "Oh well, let’s give it another shot.”
I’m not just avoiding death this year. I’m aiming for much more than something as common as that.
Will you join me?
In that vein, I’m proud to announce the publication of my first “children’s book” - which is definitely not for kids - called “BACKWARDS DAD”.
I should have copies available in the coming days and I’ll make sure to get that info out wherever you find INFINITE BURN.
More to come……
