CBS Drops the Veil, Promotes 'Worship' of 'Unholy' Satanic Ritual
In case you were still agnostic about the spirit behind the music industry, the Grammys have left little room to doubt.
“Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.
Matthew 7:6 (NLT)
How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
Hebrews 10:29 (NIV)
Awards shows, as we all know, are coronations. They are a profane casting of crowns, one in which a community of artists, performers, and the executives who exploit them gather to collectively deny the vapid legacy of straw they have undoubtedly worked so hard to build.
Much has been written about awards shows used by a sinister cabal™ who passes on their torch of Lucifer’s so-called light of darkness from one generation to the next, Madonna (more on her in a bit) face-sucking Brittney, Kanye interrupting Taylor, etc.
But when you have the “historic” duet of a non-gender-conforming performer paired with a person of one biological sex posing as the other, and both performing against a backdrop that was clearly designed to resemble Hell, well that, dear reader, is what’s known as a pagan (or satanic) ritual.
To review: a satanic ritual involves “the abuse of a helpless person (most often a child) in rituals performed in the worship of Satan. These rituals, as reported by survivors, include physical violence, sexual violence/molestation, or emotional and mental trauma, e.g., forcing the subject to watch violent or disturbing acts.”
A captive audience attending, say, a music awards show, would qualify as “helpless,” no?
In case you missed it, recording “artists” Sam Smith and Kim Petras performed a rendition of “Unholy” at the 65th Grammy Awards, easily the only portion of the broadcast that actually made it into the public consciousness.
If you’re unfamiliar with the song, first, congratulations. And second, it’s an unabashed ode to something called “queer joy”, with a music video featuring drag performers and oozing with, as Smith himself said, “emotional, sexual, and spiritual liberation.”
Now where have we heard that promise before?
Oh, right.
“‘You won’t die!’ the serpent replied to the woman. For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open and you will be like divine beings who know good and evil."
Genesis 3:4-5
I’m not going to reproduce the “Unholy” lyrics here, but suffice to say, they’re about as simultaneously bankrupt and perverted as you’d expect.
Petras, by the way, is the plural form of petra, the Greek word for “rock” used by Jesus when He proclaimed the following:
And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Matthew 16:18
The backdrop for the “Unholy” performance from Petras and Smith certainly resembled what many would call the “gates of hell.”
But it’s what Petras said backstage (as I covered here) that was, without question, most revealing about who these two hold responsible for their nonconforming identities: “religion” of a nondescript nature.
Bahai’ism? Mormonism? Sunni Islam? Gosh, we may never know.
After the show, Petras told reporters backstage the “Unholy” performance was inspired by “not being able to choose religion.”
“I think a lot of people, honestly, have kind of labeled what I stand for and what Sam stands for as religiously not cool, and I personally grew up wondering about religion and wanting to be a part of it but slowly realizing it didn’t want me to be a part of it,” she said.
“So it’s a take on not being able to choose religion. And not being able to live the way that people might want you to live because, as a trans person, I’m already not kind of wanted in religion. So we were doing a take on that, and I was kind of hellkeeper Kim.”
There’s a pastoral part of me that longs to unpack the theological swamp contained in this quote, but suffice to say, the comments, clearly aimed at narrow-minded, Bible-thumping Christian radicals like this author, raise more questions than they answer.
Here’s what you have to remember: when CBS or any other network decides to live-tweet a broadcast event, there is no “impromptu” moment. The network social media team - likely headed, as so many are, by generic and talent-deprived hacks who are bitter about a life that clearly didn’t go to plan - has a deliberate strategy, advance notice of which acts are performing, what number they will be performing etc.
As one independent journalist noted, this isn’t some fashion blogger or even some influencer somewhere sharing their off-the-cuff thoughts.
This is CBS, home of CBS News, the former home of Walter Cronkite and still - however inexplicably and unjustifiably - relied upon by millions of Americans for their information.
This is CBS, calling “Unholy” a form of worship. And, by extension, vice versa.
Oh sure, they didn’t mean anything by it. They’re just being cheeky and all that.
Except, that’s not a credible take.
Imagine if the song were, say, pro-abortion. Would it be appropriate for CBS to anticipate it as anything other than a performance? How many tweets would we see from CBS hyping a politicized/pro-abortion performance? If there was even one, you can bet it would be measured and respectful in its tone and delivery due to the controversial subject matter.
Instead of abortion, this performance (and its corresponding tweet) were overtly spiritual in nature.
In short, there is no ad-libbing when it comes to live-tweeting. When there’s an unexpected moment, even then, a few overpriced execs put their heads together to come up with “clever messaging” that, in retrospect, sounds more like how an C-suite assistant talks than a television network.
So when CBS dropped this jewel on their 1.2 million followers, just know it was not some weekend producer just being “cheeky.”
I confess my lack of surprise at the spectacle, since I’ve previously documented how CBS has instituted and practiced anti-Christian bias at the media conglomerate for years.
But still. Just, wow.
And just in case you’re thinking this was all just poor timing, here’s something resembling the artist formerly known as Madonna, that high priestess of perversion, introducing the “Unholy” duo.
They’re still pretending, in 2023, that it takes “courage” to cross-dress and gender-bend, as though the nation hasn’t subjected itself to such behavior for the better part of last decade (thanks Bruce).
Don’t be confused: this was a win for CBS, its best Grammys broadcast since 2020. The exploitation of gender dysphoria combined with blatantly satanic imagery apparently is ratings gold in 2023.
Don’t forget, this is the same CBS which, until recently, carried a show called God Friended Me, which surprisingly ran for two seasons.
But just in case you think this was some pro-Christian, Bible-thumping programming, here’s how they promoted it on Facebook:
Not much left to say after that image, is there?
Here’s the real question: why are you still watching this trash?
I mean all of it, across the spectrum of traditional TV and radio programming. Why, for one more minute, would you support, much less participate in, the mass media indoctrination into the unholy?
These companies hate you. They hate Jesus Christ. And they hate anything remotely concerned with the Holy Bible. But they sure do love your viewership.
Scripture is fairly clear that what we choose to behold, we become:
Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain! Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.
Psalm 119:36-37
I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them.
Psalm 101:3
Instead, that the cry of our heart would be like the prophet Habakkuk:
Must I forever see these evil deeds? Why must I watch all this misery? Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. I am surrounded by people who love to argue and fight.
Habakkuk 1:3
Here’s what I know to be true: God is not mocked. Whatever one sows, one reaps. A nation which feasts its eyes on unholy worship becomes degraded and unholy itself in how it views worship.
A culture that promotes sexual degradation as the highest value in the land will itself degrade to the point where the most heinous acts will be accorded the respect of highest virtue.
We see this happening in real-time with our children, who are being to taught to mutilate their bodies, forsake the God of their fathers, and deface the Imago Dei in which they were created.
All the while, pop stars and pseudo-artists lecture us, those dwindling numbers of followers of Christ Jesus who honor His word even above His name, about how they couldn’t “choose” God because He didn’t “choose” them.
What a miserable place to be - what a prison of a life to be living - where you blame the Sovereign for your individual choices.
Christians need not fear these kinds of rituals but shun and expose them (Ephesians 5:11). These folks are headed for an eternity of sorrow and regret and they’re happy to net a fat paycheck to lead millions more to the same place.
These modern-day idols know precisely the role they play in the lives of millions of fans who, in the truest sense of the word, worship them.
That’s because Man was made to worship. It’s in our DNA.
We also know that in the coming rule of the Beast kingdom in the book of Revelation, the whole earth will be mandated to worship not the Holy One of Israel, but in fact the unholy seed of Satan (Rev. 13:5)
The music industry, as satanic as it has been for decades, apparently no longer feels the need to conceal it. Maybe, just maybe, that’s because the time is at hand.
And judgment for those involved, surely, cannot be long in coming.
